Enrolments

Enrolments for 3 and 4 year old Kinder for 2025 are open from Wednesday 1st March, 2024.

Enrolments are accepted by Maroondah Integrated Kinder Association (MIKA). Please visit their site when applications are open to enrol.

If you would like further information about enrolling your child in any of Pinemont Pre-School’s programs please feel free to contact the kinder on  0493 269 230 or drop in to the Pre-School during the times listed for each program to meet the teachers.

Placement for both 3 year old and 4 year old kinder is decided by the Maroondah Integrated Kinder Association (MIKA). The Extended Hours Program enrolments are taken directly by the Pre-School. Please note that this program is NOT subsidised by the Victorian State Government and fees apply and are payable each term.

The 4 year old program is partially subsidised by the Victorian State Government, therefore families are required to pay the balance of the fees each term. The 3 year old program and the Extended Hours Program are NOT subsidised by the Victorian State Government and fees apply and are payable each term.

About MIKA

MIKA is a non-profit community based Association. It currently has 21 Member Kindergartens throughout the City of Maroondah - see MAP of MIKA Member Kindergartens. MIKA exists to provide a central enrolment system on behalf of its Member Kindergartens. It also provides a forum for the discussion of matters of interest to Member Kindergartens and will act on their behalf in the public arena if instructed to do so.

MIKA employs a Central Enrolment Officer and a Bookkeeper. The Central Enrolment Officer administers the Central Enrolment System for three and four year old groups, in accordance with the policies developed and agreed to by its Member Kindergartens. The MIKA bookkeeper manages the finances of the association.

Each Member Kindergarten provides a representative to sit on the MIKA general committee each year. The Executive positions of this committee (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) are filled by Member Kindergartens on a rotational basis. All representatives on the MIKA committee are volunteers.

MIKA is not part of the Maroondah City Council, however, Council does provide an annual grant to assist in funding the central enrolment system, and assists with administration support. The remainder of the income required is raised through membership fees and Department grants.
